Ronaldinho was once again inspirational for the Catalans, scoring 24 times in all competitions and was selected for the FIFPro World XI for this season alongside Carles Puyol and the outstanding wonderkid Lionel Messi. Barca agonizingly missed out on the La Liga title on head-to-head record to bitter rivals Real Madrid after Los Blancos had beaten the Catalan side 2-0 at the Bernabéu and the sides played out an incredible 3-3 draw at the Camp Nou
